STORAGE VENDOR Kingston's portable wireless storage drive for IOS, the Wi-Drive will be available from this Friday.
The flash based storage drive is a wireless hard drive for use with Apple's Ipad, Iphone and Ipod devices. It is available to pre-order at Ebuyer.com from £80 with an expected date of 19 August, which is this Friday.
Krystian Jaroszynski, European product marketing manager of flash at Kingston said, "Wi-Drive allows Apple device owners to wirelessly manage document and media files, and choose to share them with others, while on the go for work or pleasure."
The Wi-Drive comes in two capacity options, 16GB and 32GB, priced at £89 and £124, respectively. Stock seems to be limited on the 32GB model, though, with Ebuyer quoting only 50 available for pre-order.
The WiFi drive also has a USB port so users can connect it to a laptop or desktop to transfer files. Kingston said a Wi-Drive app will be available from the Apple App Store allowing users to share files with other Apple devices.www.apple.com
